Fantastic Meal Replacement!

I often find myself procrastinating when it comes to making food, simply because I don’t want to stop what I’m doing, or I don’t know what I want to make. Being a sort of, “bodybuilder,” it’s very important that I get my macro-nutrients to not only help my muscles to recover, but to fuel my body to get through the day, and through another beating at the gym.

So when I don’t feel like making anything, or I’m running short on time, I’ve found that the best thing for me is to resort to a protein shake! I just recently started the LeanGains “diet” (Intermittent fasting), so it’s very important that I get high amounts of protein in every single snack and meal I consume, as well as plenty of complex carbohydrates, so I ‘designed’ this shake to do just that.

Required items:

  1. Bolthouse Farms ‘Protein Plus’ (In this recipe I use chocolate) – Serv. Size: 8oz. Calories: 190 Calories from fat: 25 Protein: 15g
  2. Eggs (If you don’t want to consume raw eggs, skip to the last recipe) Serv. Size: 1 Egg Calories: 70 Calories from fat: 40
  3. Bananas – Serv. Size: 1 6-8″ Banana Calories: 105 Calories from that: 0
  4. Ice – It’s frozen water
  5. Electric Blender of some sort – We’re not eating this…

For the Athlete/Bodybuilder:

  1. Pour 8-16oz of the Bolthouse Protein Plus into your blender, depending on your macro-nutrient requirements.
  2. Put 1-2 whole eggs into the blender, once again, depending on your macro-nutrient requirements.
  3. Put 1/2 or 1 whole banana in the blender (1/2 if 8oz, 1 whole if 16oz.)
  4. Pour 1/2 cup of ice into mixture, and blend.
  5. Once it’s blended thoroughly, pour and enjoy!

Unmotivated

What is seen above, is the progress I’ve made on one of my more recent designs. It’s been sitting like that for close to a week now, maybe a little less. There’s still so much that has to be done, that I don’t even feel like starting it up again, because just looking at it I can’t help but say, “I give up…”

Here is what it will look like once finished,

Not only do I have an additional 3-5 additional ‘div ids’ to add, but I also have to write up that portion of the CSS as well, and make sure the design is responsive. I know for sure at the moment that it isn’t Android compatible, not with the stock browser at least. I also keep getting all of these ideas for other designs, that it makes it impossible for me to stick with one. It’s what some might call, “a blessing and a curse.”
